One of Soudokay's two main product lines is hardfacing cored wires.
Overlaying is the deposition of a metallic layer on the surface of a piece, in order to increase its resistance to abrasion, impact, corrosion or other wear phenomena. Overlaying solutions increase part liftime, decrease production down time and maintenance costs and at the end of the day increases profit. Two economic processes for overlaying are arc welding and arc spraying. Soudokay produces and sells consumables for both processes.
All Soudokay wires are cored wires. This leads to an unlimited variety of possible alloys, higher deposition rates, higher productivity and easier operating. It also gives the possibility to produce wires that can be used without gas or flux shielding: open-arc wires.
